WooCommerce Setup Guide (Complete)
Arqam360 installs on WooCommerce through the WordPress plugin. Unlike Shopify there is no theme step to remember: once the plugin is active and your API key is saved, the banner serves on every page including checkout.
Install the plugin
In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New and search for Arqam360. Install and activate. It is on the official wordpress.org directory, so there is no zip to upload and updates arrive the normal way.
Connect your account
Open Arqam360 in the wp-admin sidebar. If you already have an account, paste your API key from the dashboard's Widget tab. If not, create one first — the free plan covers one domain forever.
Confirm the banner is serving
Load your storefront in a private window. The banner should appear on first paint, before any tracking fires. If it does not, check that the plugin is active and the API key was saved rather than merely typed.
Customize the banner
Everything visual lives in the Arqam360 dashboard, not in WordPress: position, colours, Arabic and English text, and which categories you ask about. Changes apply immediately without touching the site.
Verify consent is recording
Make a choice on your own storefront, then check Consent Logs in the dashboard. The record appears within seconds, timestamped, with the categories the visitor actually agreed to.
WooCommerce checkout and tracking pixels
Checkout is where most WooCommerce stores leak consent. Conversion pixels — Meta, Google Ads, TikTok — usually fire on the order-received page regardless of what the visitor chose on the banner, because they are added by a separate plugin or pasted into the theme. Turning on script blocking in the dashboard stops those from running until the visitor has agreed to the marketing category. Test it: decline marketing, complete a test order, and confirm no pixel request appears in your browser's network tab on the thank-you page.
Verify it is actually live
The dashboard's Overview tab marks the widget step complete only once your site has genuinely requested its configuration, so it reflects your live site rather than your settings page. If it stays incomplete, the plugin is active but not reaching us — usually an API key that was never saved, or a firewall blocking outbound requests from the server.
Arabic and RTL
The banner renders right-to-left in Arabic automatically for visitors whose browser asks for it, with the layout mirrored rather than only translated. That is independent of whether your WordPress site itself is bilingual, so a single-language store still serves Gulf visitors correctly.
