Configure Consent Categories

Consent categories group cookies and trackers by purpose. Visitors can choose which categories to accept or reject, giving them granular control over their privacy.
Default Categories
- Essential — Always active. Required for the website to function (session cookies, CSRF, cart).
- Analytics — Visitor behavior tracking (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar).
- Marketing — Advertising and retargeting (Meta Pixel, TikTok, Google Ads).
- Preferences — User preference storage (language, theme, region).
Custom Categories

Go to Widget settings
Navigate to Widget → Categories in your dashboard.

Add a new category
Click 'Add Category' and provide a name and description.

Assign cookies
Map discovered cookies (from your scan results) to the new category.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled by visitors. This category is always active and the toggle is locked. Only include truly essential cookies here (session, authentication, CSRF).
