Gulf privacy questions

Can I transfer personal data outside Egypt?

Only to a country whose protection is not lower than Egypt's, and with a licence from the Personal Data Protection Center (Art. 14). That includes sending visitor data to analytics or advertising platforms outside Egypt. Breaking the transfer rules carries at least three months' imprisonment, EGP 500,000 to EGP 5,000,000, or both.

Transfers abroad need their own licence, separate from the business's general one, as do direct electronic marketing and sensitive data.
