Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about consent, compliance, and getting started.
The Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) regulates how businesses collect, process, and store personal data of Saudi residents. Enforced by SDAIA, penalties include fines up to 5 million SAR, imprisonment up to 2 years, and potential business suspension. All businesses operating in Saudi Arabia or handling Saudi residents' data must comply.
Yes. Google now requires Consent Mode v2 for all advertisers using Google Ads, GA4, or any Google advertising product. Without it, you lose conversion measurement, remarketing audiences, and Smart Bidding optimization. This applies globally, including Saudi Arabia and the entire MENA region. Arqam360 fires GCM v2 signals automatically.
Arqam360 has a native Salla app. Install it from the Salla App Store and the consent banner is automatically added to your storefront. No code changes needed. The app auto-provisions your account, configures Arabic/English support, and handles PDPL compliance out of the box.
Install the Arqam360 app from the Shopify App Store. It uses a Theme App Extension to inject the consent banner into your storefront automatically. The app creates your account, generates your API key, and configures the widget. You can customize colors, text, and consent categories from the app dashboard.
For Salla and Shopify stores, setup takes less than 2 minutes — just install the app. For custom websites, add a single script tag before your closing </body> tag. The banner appears immediately with sensible defaults. Customization, server-side integrations, and advanced features can be configured from the dashboard.
Arqam360 is built for the MENA region. Unlike Cookiebot, it supports Arabic RTL natively, understands Saudi PDPL and UAE PDPA regulations, integrates with Salla (the largest Arab e-commerce platform), fires Google Consent Mode v2 signals automatically, and includes server-side event forwarding to recover ad attribution. Cookiebot is EU-focused and lacks MENA-specific features.
Yes. Saudi PDPL, UAE PDPA, and other GCC regulations require consent for personal data processing — this is not just an EU/GDPR requirement. Additionally, Google requires Consent Mode v2 signals globally for conversion tracking. Without a consent banner, you risk both legal penalties and degraded ad performance.
Yes. Free includes 1 domain, Pro includes 3, and Managed includes 5. For agencies managing client websites, the Agency plan ($399/mo) covers 25 client workspaces with 5 domains each, plus 15 team seats with role-based access.
Yes. Arqam360 supports full Arabic (RTL) out of the box — both the consent banner shown to your visitors and the dashboard you use to manage settings. The widget automatically detects the visitor's language preference. You can also force Arabic or English via configuration.
Google Consent Mode v2 is a framework that lets your website communicate user consent choices to Google services (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager). It controls whether Google tags can use cookies, collect analytics data, or serve personalized ads. Version 2 added two new parameters (ad_user_data and ad_personalization) that are now mandatory for all advertisers.
Arqam360 forwards consent-governed events to advertising platforms (Meta CAPI, Google, TikTok, etc.) server-side. This means conversions are sent directly from our servers to the ad platform, bypassing browser restrictions like ad blockers and iOS privacy changes. This recovers 20-40% of lost conversion data while remaining fully compliant with consent choices.
A Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) is a legal right under PDPL, GDPR, and other privacy regulations that allows individuals to request access to their personal data, request deletion, or object to processing. Arqam360 provides a DSAR portal where users can submit requests, and automates data retrieval from connected systems to help you respond within the legal timeframe.
